Where we work.We get around, and that’s a good thing.
AHLC is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro is our home — where the roster lives and where most of our 1,500+ events take place. But many shows that need us aren’t in Minneapolis, and that’s okay.
AHLC has dispatched crews out of the Twin Cities across the upper Midwest — greater Minnesota, eastern North Dakota & South Dakota, western Wisconsin, and northern Iowa. Same roster, same standard, loaded into vehicles and pointed at your dock.
The markets we cover
How an out-of-market call actually works
This is the part most labor suppliers are vague about, so we'll be direct. Outside the Twin Cities, we bring the crew with us. We are not subcontracting to whoever answers the phone in your market and putting our name on it.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. The usual way a touring show gets crewed in a secondary market is a pickup call — a list of names assembled locally, most of whom have never worked together, some of whom have never worked your kind of show. It's a coin flip, and you find out how it landed at 7am on load in.
An AHLC regional crew is people off the same roster who have worked the same rooms together for years. You're not gambling on a scratch crew. The crew chief who runs your Fargo load in has run a hundred of ours.
What that means practically
- Travel is built into the quote — mileage, and lodging where the call requires an overnight. No surprises on the invoice.
- Lead time is longer out of market. In the metro we can crew an emergency in 24 hours. Out of market, give us a week where you can — we're moving people, not just scheduling them.
- Crew size scales the same way. Four hands or forty. The math changes on travel, not on capability.
- We integrate with local staff and union houses wherever they're called. Many of our hands have worked union calls for years and know how to come in clean.

What we crew out of market
Everything we crew at home. Load in and load out, audio, lighting, video and LED, stage and carpentry, and corporate A/V — arena tours, theater dates, fairs and festivals, convention center general sessions, casino showrooms, and sporting events.
If your show is landing anywhere in the footprint above and you’d rather know who’s walking through the dock door, tell us the date and the room and we’ll do our best to help fill it.
